I have been searching on and off for years now and it is true that quite often when people can no longer help they do wish me good luck but i was not refereing to you at all.

Well I've had another search for them in 1901 but nothing!
I am sorry but at the moment, can't think of anything else.

Thanks. no one has been able to find Thomas Kavanagh ever. I did find, yesterday, a Thomas Kavanagh in the military records for the Boar War, first Leinster Reg on page 637 but i cannot get into the records as i am not a paying member - could be him.
As for Joseph Edward he was married in 1901, i have that cert, but not sure about the 1901 census as he should be on there but...

What is Joseph Edward's father's name and both their occupations from marriage certificate?
Is there an address for him?

Joseph Edward's father's name is William born Northumberland, his mother is Elizabeth born Newcastle.
Father and son were both bricklayers.
Up to 1901 all lived in Newcastle.
in 1901 J E  married in Darlington.
