Unfortunately I have very little on the Dales from Dungiven, other than to to strongly suspect that they are descended from Hu Deal who settled in Antrim ca 1690.  They were originally from Ayrshire.

I see you're going back the way in your research.
If you are interested..............James Dale & Margaret Golden had a daughter Mary b c1850 who married Patrick/Peter Cullen who was my gg grandmother's brother in Wishaw 1874 & had 7 offspring
