the son was James dale born 1855 wishaw Scotland, his father James dale (deail)was born between 1820 & 1825  from dungiven, and marred Margaret golden in Dublin in 1845 then came to Scotland

Unfortunately I have very little on the Dales from Dungiven, other than to to strongly suspect that they are descended from Hu Deal who settled in Antrim ca 1690.  They were originally from Ayrshire.

If you are interested..............James Dale & Margaret Golden had a daughter Mary b c1850 who married Patrick/Peter Cullen who was my gg grandmother's brother in Wishaw 1874 & had 7 offspring  ;D
