Gotthilf Unger
« on: Monday 14 June 10 06:48 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am wondering if anyone has any information about Gotthilf Frederick Unger.  He was born in 1842 to Gotthilf and Margaret Unger in Nuremberg Germany.  He emigrated to Australia in 1861 arriving in Melbourne and eventually settling in Sydney.  He married Elizabeth Daintry in 1866 and died in 1924.  He had at least one brother, John, who also came to Australia.

I would like any information on his parents and other siblings if available.

Thanks for any assistance.

Daree

Hi

Would your name be John?  I already have a lot of information about the family in Australia, but I was particularly looking for more about his parents and any other siblings besides John.  I am assuming that you may be the son of Patrick and Elizabeth????  I am on a committee that is organising a combined Daintry family reunion for 2011, so would love to hear back from you and would also appreciate any assistance with your family and any other details of ancestors and descendants.  Would be happy to exchange any information that you want.  I can be contacted on (*) if you would prefer.

Regards

Daree

My name is Jason Hogan and my connection to the Unger's is as follows.

Gotthilf Frederick Unger and Elizabeth Daintry's eldest daughter Margaret married Michael J Hogan in 1901. Michael's brother (William Ernest Hogan) is my great-grandfather.

So I'm not a exactly a dirct link but I'm trying to tie up loose ends in my Hogan family name.

PM if you wish to exchange more information if it's going to be easier for you. Thanks

J.Hogan.
