The Druxen entry might well be her but bear in mind that English death certificates do not give a lot of information - nothing about parentage for instance.

Hi Pauline,

Francis Driesen and Elizabeth Keehner were my GGGG Grandparents.

My mother is Louise Elizabeth Driesen (maiden name), her father is John Driesen (emigrated from England to Australia after WW2 to marry my Nan, Audrey Joan Lovelock), His father was Robert Driesen, his father was Francis Driesen, his father was John Jacob Driesen and his father was Francis Diderich Driesen born in High Germany in 1781 and married to Elizabeth Keehner in 1812.

I am wanting to try and find anything prior to Francis Diderich Driesen. Have you found anything about his heritage other than the fact he was from High Germany?

Looks like we are related!

Georgina

Hi Georgina,

Lovely to hear from you and welcome to RootsChat.
Just looking through my records as it has been a long time since I have looked at this side of the family. Your GGG Grandfather John Jacob born in 1831 and my GG Grandmother Mary Ann born 1821 were brother and sister. Mary Ann married Thomas Silvester in 1842 and they had a son Charles born in1859 who married my G Grandmother Martha Maria Gover. Martha and Charles Silvester emigrated to Queensland in 1885 with baby Mary Maria my Grandmother.

I am sorry I cannot help with any information on Francis Driesen before his coming to England.

I do have the death certificates for Francis and Elizabeth if you need them. Also if there is anything else I can help you with please ask.

Pauline
