BARNARD Family Wangaratta

My grandfather was Frederick Barnard and was born in 1912 in Wangaratta. His fathers name was Francis Barnard.

I can't find any information on my grandfathers brothers and sisters and his mother and her maiden name.

Any HELP would be greatly appreciated

I am looking at the Edwardian Index 1902-1913 and I can't see his birth in 1912 at Wangaratta.

The closest one to that year/place is

BARNARD Fredk Francis

Year: 1911
Reg No: 8805

The same couple registered the birth of Robert Haydon BARNARD in 1912 at Powlett R

Frederick BARNARD d 1965 aged 79 in Wangaratta -  Parents Fred BARNARD and  Margaret HIBBERD # 22135
Margaret BARNARD d 1943 aged 81 Footscray -  George HIBBERD and  Bridget WHALAN # 1981

I am told that my grandfather died of lung cancer in 1978. Aged 66 years.
His wifes name was Doris watts.
They lived in Stalbans together until his death.

I am told he had 9 brothers and sisters.
He and his family when he was groing up lived in Wangaratta, so i was assuming he was born there, I could be wrong.

I had been told that Barnard st Bendigo and Barnard st Beechworth were named after a relative of mine a long time ago, not sure if this is true or not.

Im sorry i dont have a birth reg number.

I live in Beechworth and know Barnard St quite well. I will see if I can find out who it is named after for you.

Catherine Francis Stone b 1890 Mitcham, VIC
Marriage 23 Aug 1910, St Killans, Bendigo (edit think it should be St Kilians)

died after 1980
