« on: Wednesday 09 June 10 16:46 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if I can purchase a CD (not microfiche) of Great Budworth and Little Leigh Parish Records. If so where from please.

Many thanks

Alijet :)

Hi Stan,

Yes I have looked at these sights. I was hoping that by having access to the actual parish records, I may be able to draw a little more information. Would you know if this is the case or are the records transcribed word for word. Also do they hold all the records or just a selection as I am unable to locate some of the information I require.

Many thanks

Alijet

According to the sites they are 95% complete. As to what details are shown it will depend on the date. Before 1812, bishops’ transcripts were usually recorded on loose pieces of paper. Following that year, the transcripts were recorded on the same pre-printed forms as parish registers.

Hi, alijet,  I am not aware of any CD's for these parishes.  The Cheshire Family History Society does have a CD of the Great Budworth Monumental Inscriptions for sale.  The Little Leigh ones are on microfiche.
The address  below is the site.
fhsc.org.uk
The Cheshire Parish Records project has the Great Budworth transcriptions in progress but does not as yet give any date for release.

Kathb
