Have just been looking at two trade directories they show that Thomas Jones was the publican of the Navigation, I cannot find any refernec to the brewery, although the site that I picked up on did have him as a brewer. He must have been an upstanding resident of Runcorn for the trade directories show a Thomas Jones as a councillor, the later directory gives his ward as Mersey, which I think the Navigation would have been in
