i thought i'd put a face to hephzibah keturah-stephen thomas wife [Dr Williams Pink Pills] it looks as though those iron tablets helped her with her 20 children.

Lovely to see her.

She's worn well despite the burden of all those children.

Update on the Goodwin's-inputting all info you gave me into my tree, still don't know how you managed to sort out - the sidney's from the steven's and the kate's  from the hepzibah's but it's given me so much more to work with and i'm now realising that this ancestry stuff is not so easy to do. I mean how would i ever have known that names could change soo much, that to try to follow some 1 through their life that you would have to be so clever as to find them under a completely different name. But now i know such things who know's what i might find out!!!!!!! Thank's again ;)

bitten by the bug is an understatement. I'm doing it 24/7 very badly but there's worse things to be doing. house looks [well i won't say -alloments gone to pot and poor other half is doing most of the cooking washing and ironing.] i am doing some of his family tree along the way -oh and also a bit of work.

Just been reading this fascinating thread (albeit 2 years after it was written!)

Thanks to some dogged detective work by my brother over the last few days, we have just learned that Hephzibah Keturah Goodwin was our great, great grandmother (what a name - wonder what the origin of that is!). Our great grandfather was her 5th child, Robert Edward Goodwin and our maternal grandfather was his youngest child, Cyril.

We never knew Cyril and indeed our mother didn't know him well as her parents separated when she was 2, but she did visit her grandfather (Robert) in Alresford, Hampshire sometime around 1960, and has fond memories of him.

I noticed that a picture of Hephzibah was posted earlier in this tread but I'm not able to download it so if anyone can give me access, I'd love to see what my great great granny looked like. And if anyone has any other information about this branch of the family, I'd be really interested. Thanks
