No idea I'm afraid.. I suspect that what got saved was a bit hit-and-miss, especially when schools merged and acquired new names. Inspectors probably had a system for their overall school reports, but pupil records, it might depend on whether the headteacher thought them worth keeping. Best email the library when they reopen for more detailed contents listing.
Off topic slightly, but one of our local primary schools will be closing this year, and I fear for the old registers, which are kept in a box in a cupboard,
in the girls toilets 
They go back at least to WW2 and haven't been archived (a box in the loo doesn't count!), so its entirely possible that the old Mansfield St registers are still languishing in a modern-day Ardwick school somewhere. Hope not though
