sorry to ask so many questions,,just trying to help.....it is important to know where records are obtained from.....so i wondered what source your father got his fathers birthdates from?  word of mouth?  if you do not have a birth cert,,you cannot be sure of the exact year...you see what i am driving at.. ;D

Thats ok...birth and death cert and he was born in Bradford west yorkshire.
