Sorry for the delay in getting back... only just noticed you added some info.
Please get back to me, I'm looking for any info at all on the line for James McMillan (born abt 1860) married Isabella.
I have him born in Scotland to Alexander and Mary (Mooney) but nothing more concrete than the 1871 Census showing them in Tanfield.
My ancestor was James' brother Thomas.
I have B/Cert for Thomas and John, but having great trouble with obtaining MarrCert for Alexandra and Mary, and also BCert for James, (which of course would give more info to trace)

Are you unsure because I put in the word Seghill,or have you some research that states this is not your family,of Lawsons,
The probate record I doubt is yours,unless of course Matthew came into a bit of money,as it did seem quite a lot of money for a hard working miner,and you state yours died in 1951,
