Ash baptism - HALLETT
« on: Wednesday 26 May 10 11:42 BST (UK) »
Hi

Please can anyone assist with a baptism at or near parish to Ash, Somerset?

I am seeking a baptism of JEREMIAH HALLETT circa 1806.  He resided at Montacute, a Butcher/farmer, in 1841 and 1851 with his wife Elizabeth and family and then moved to Swell between 1861 and 1881 where he later died.

Any advice or help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you
Carol

Just found your posting which sounds like my g-g-grandfather! He was s/o Thomas & Ann (nee Penny) Hallett, bpt 7 April 1805 at Tintinhull according to PR transcript (tho family bible records 1806). He d. at Bere Aller (home of daughter) in 1885 aged 79yr, buried 3 Feb 1885 at Montacute, with wife Elizabeth (nee Cridland) who predeceased him.
I have quite a bit about him (& parents, siblings & descendants) which I'd be happy to share. It's always interesting to meet new 'family' & I'd love to know which of Jeremiah's children is 'yours' mine is Agnes Anne.

Hi Anne
Jeremiah Hallett is my 3 x GG and I stayed in his home in Montacute, which I’m quite sure was where he butchered, as it’s an AirBnB stay!
I’m descended from his son Richard and slowly building up my family tree…
I would love to have any more information that you may have on the family.
Many thanks in advance
Kind regards
Kate
