Hi

Can someone help me decipher the name of my ancestor please?  It has been transcribed as Sheba E Mott on the 1881 Census, but I can't find any trace of a Sheba in any other census, so I guess it must be wrongly transcribed. I have looked at the original and I just can't work out what it can be.

if you look up Sheba E Mott, born 1842 in Longwick  on the 1881 census you should see the entry.

Hi,
It is well written and certainly looks like Sheba E Mott.
I think she was a newly wed in 1871 as she is on the census with daughter Ellen Matthews
 and husband Joseph. Ref RG10/1432  121/11

Thame
Joseph Mott
Sheba Elizabeth Matthews

It looks like Sheba is using the name Elizabeth in 1871
