Hello. I have been trying to track down my grandmother's aunt and her husband who were Leicester-born but I hit a brick wall in finding what happened to them when they moved from there in about 1924. I may however have tracked them down to Paignton, Devon, where they appeared to be in the 1940s and 1960s. Can anyone help me with directory look-ups that might show when they moved there and where they lived?
The man I am seeking was called Samuel Charles Knight and he appears to have died in 1960 at 15 Kings Ash Road in Paignton. His wife - my grandmother's aunt - was Minne Knight (nee Markham) although she appears to have died in 1942.
Samuel appears to have remarried a women named Beatrice in 1947 so there may be a record of Beatrice residing there at dates after 1960 too (I don't know when she died).
Any directory look ups at all from 1924 through the 1960s would be very much appreciated - even if the result is a negative one. Thank you in advance to anyone out there who can help me break through my wall and solve this family mystery!
