Hi All, This is actually and English query, probably, but does anyone know what the age of a "minor" was in 1860 ? Please. Was it 21 or 18 or ?. No age on an English Marriage Certificate, linked with Scottish Ancestors.
Thank You. xxxx

Under 21 in both England and Scotland.
But beware those who decided to be a little creative with what they told the registrar/minister or whoever.
