Charles Bennett m. Elizabeth Wild(e) b.1791. married 13/11/1815
son Thomas Bennett b. 1831 m. Rose Sophia Anthony m 1859
son Charles Bennett b. 1860 m. Mary Ann Matilda Cox m. 1888

Any info from Thomas back would be appreciated.

I understand Rose Sophia Anthony was a bit dodgy.

Charles and elizabeth were married in derby, derdyshire, england

I believe Charles was a Royal Veteran and was posted to Tasmania in 1830's

Thomas married Rose in Tasmania

All Saints Church, Derby on 13th November 1815....Extracted record

so we then go 16 years for Thomas Bennett   birth 1831 ?
and then 35 years for Charles Bennett birth 1860  ?

are we looking to see if Charles and Elizabeth are the parents ?....when Charles 1860 was born I would think Elizabeth would be too old   ie b 1791?......

do you know where Thomas and Charles were born ?...was it Derby ?..........allan :)

ADDED...ok Neil....Charles b 1860 was Elizabeths GRANDSON.....I misread the post ...thought they were both Elizabeths kids....ok.....so we want to go from the birth of Thomas 1831 backwards....are you  also researching Rose ??....allan

Thomas Bennett was christened on 7th December 1831 in Tasmania....extracted record on familysearch...

Where She came from or how she arrived in tasmania is a Mystery

Sophia Rose born 18th June 1832 in Hobart Tasmania...christened 30th Dec 1832
father John mother Sarah.....death 29th Nov 1873 .....it`s only a submitted record ...but...it states she married a John Wilmott on 8th August 1850......aged 18

does the female name B M Cochrane mean anything to you ?...fom Jannali NSW.....
she has an Ancestral file and her full name and address for anyone to contact her for family details..
of course this is supposition....she may not be YOUR Sophia Rose Anthony...but I think it wouldn`t do any harm to check with this lady...I would write her a letter just to confirm one way or the other....
if you want her address let me know...it is there on www.familysearch.org.uk   look for the sophia rose b 1832 and where it says SUBMITTER ...to the right it says   DETAILS....click on this.....good luck.....allan ;) ;)
