Hello - looking for Woolhouse
« on: Sunday 16 May 10 13:57 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone.

I am trying to trace my husbands family history. His Grandfather was Joseph Herbert Woolhouse born March 1913 in Surrey. Joseph's parents were Frederick Charles Woolhouse and Florence Mary.

If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to rootschat harlu.

Do you know where Frederick and Florence hail from?

I have looked at that one too and wondered if it was him. So maybe search for a Florence Coatley then? We are trying to go back to see where his family come from.

Thank you so much for all the responses so far.

I have no idea Ruskie. I literally started searching today.

We found Josephs gravesite here in Australia and his death certificate info. I know who he married and what year but nowI need to go backwards.

The George Ruskie found  in 1901 is with his parents James and Mary J in Lambeth listed as George F in 1881 - there is a baptism in West Dulwich on 15th March 1880 for George Frederick Woolhouse parents James and Mary June address Gloucester Rd Norwood which looks like the same man. Where did you get the information that his name was Fredrick Charles?

Jan ;)

OK see you've answered that question  :D As death certificates are only as accurate as the information given - maybe Charles is a mistake? Do you have joseph's marriage cert?

I can tell you that Joseph married Lucy Ada Parbery in 1936 in West Ham. Where can I hunt down a copy of their marriage certificate?

Sorry, very new to all this.
