The ARNOLD Family
« on: Sunday 16 May 10 08:30 BST (UK) »
I am trying to make contact with decendants of Robert and Caroline Arnold nee Keens - Robert was a convict transported from ireland in 1838 and Caroline was the daughter of Joseph Keens and Sussannah Shones.  Thanks for reading - Ken

Hi
Do you have all their children off the NSW BDM? I looks like they lived in Albury for quite a while, there still could be descendants here. Albury is where I live, there are quite a few Arnolds listed in the white pages. Pity its a common name.

Once again there are some family trees on Ancestry with this family in them.

Hi again,
Unfortunately the ancestry tree is not going to help, they dont have any marriages for the children so the line stops there.
They do have dates of death though, that could help.
sarah 1859-1944
William 1860-1944
Charles 1863-1949
Edward 1865
Mary 1866-1951
George 1868-1933
Robert 1869
Joseph 1874
Susannah 1876
James 1878-1935
Henry 1882-1884
Kathleen 1884-1932

Looks like they were at Wagga from around the early 1880's so probably not still around Albury.

Hi,
Could have saved my time typing them in then. Perhaps if you follow them forward as far as you can and put thiem in Ancestry and any other websites that you can some of them may pick up some hints.

My daughter has a tree on Genes Reunited and I have the ancestry one to try to find as many contacts as possible.

Even adding them in and finding them on the rolls will get you closer to living people. then you probably need to start writing letters to the editors of district papers wherever they were living.
I used the Sunday Herald sun in Melbourne to find some relies. Do the NSW papers have similar letters pages?

Must turn this thing off now and go to bed, got to get up at a ridiculous hour in the morning for work.
