williamson and graves surnames

hi,
   can anybody help with this?
 william robinson williamson married jemima graves at whitehaven dec Q 1869 william born around 1845 jemima born around 1849 cant find any other info can anyone help, i know he died before the 1881 census(i think 1879)

William Williamson / H / M / 26 / Ship Carpenter / Cumberland Harrington
Jemima Williamson / W / M / 21 / / Annan Scotland

He died in 1878 J/F/M. His brother Jacob was my Great great grandfather.

Hi Kate,
    i have a giant family bible which was in my husbands grandmothers house which was presented to jemima by her husband,my husbands grandmothers maiden name was robinson but i dont think she was related she may have got the bible from a charity shop,iv looked inside and see there were 2 children born to william and jimima sadly both died very young,

Hi Janice,

Nice to hear from you, are you sure they are not related ???. William Williamsons mother was Barbara Robinson,( My 3x great grandmother), maybe it was passed down the line from her side of the family??.

Barbara robinson was born in 1821 in Harrington, her husband was Joseph Williamson. She lived untill 1908, so could one of her brothers/ sisters taken possession of the Bible.

William is listed in FreeBMD as b. Q4 1844 Whitehaven but you'll have to go to Scotlandspeople for Jemima.
