Hi Eva,
Came back in the pouring rain with the dogs and as it's a religious holiday here, Ascension, started looking for Babette Truckmüller. Ancestry played up at first but found one or two family trees with Babette on them, one no doubt is yours.
When I looked at the 1881 Census and saw she was working for Frederick Seege and family, I wondered if a connection could be found as very often families brought over relations from Germany to help in the house. This seems likely as Frederick Seege was a Pork Butcher.
Checked out Frederick and Louisa's marriage and found she is a Lindenberger and they married in Bradford in 1857. My great grandfather's sister, Louisa Pfisterer, married a Christian Lindenberger in 1860 in Bradford and I'm sure that they, Christian and Louisa Seege are siblings.
My great grandmother came from Kocherstetten, Künzelsau distict in B-W. and my great grandfather from Künzelsau probably so it could be that Babette Truckmüller was from this area, too.
If I find anything more definite I'll let you know.
Gill
