In searching for an Arundale grave at the Holy Trinity Church Rothwell, I have summarised the actions which I understand to have taken place.

And with currently no Arundale grave recorded there.

I have asked the simple question has the recording of graves at Rothwell finished or is it still on going.

I found this link - it may partly help future researchers

Borthwick archive at York University Library may have Rothwell Holy Trinity graveyard info as they hold a lot of church graveyards & grave registers in their archives independent of WYAS

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Good afternoon,

I am relatively new to the family tree search so hope someone can help me. I am trying to find the relatives of my partner.

The details I have are Harold Ellis b 10 March 1899 in Oulton died 14 October 1955 in Wakefield - buried in Rothwell I am looking to find details of his parents. Harold married Mary Elizabeth Brown born 1899 - 1989.

Any help would be magnificent

Hi Donna,
Do you have any more information about your partner's family?
On Family Search I have found a couple of possibles in the 1911 census.

There is a Harold Ellis born in Woodlesford, living in the Registration District of Oulton cum Woodlesford, father Herbert, brickmaker, (a widow), and siblings Fred, Lizzie, Hilda, George and Evyelyn.

There is another Harold Ellis born in Hunslet, living in the Registration District of Hunslet, parents Charles and Susana, and siblings Ernest, Fred, Laurence, Clifford, and Janet (1901).
Hunslet absorbed Oulton cum Woodlesford.

Herbert's wife may have been Sarah (nee Roberts).
