Hi there and thank you..

1861 102 Main St Gorbals

Michael Deans b 1836 Ireland
Bridget Deans b 1836 Ireland
Children Mary age 3 & Bridget 10 months b Ireland

1871 76 King St Gorbals
same again but with son Patrick age 8 Michael age 6, another Bridget and a Thomas age 8 months.

I used Scots people credits up finding Michael's death and Bridgets death i was made up as i got their parents names from certs.. thinking oh now i can maybe find were in Ireland they came from.. IGI had nothing on the parents marriages, so now i am stuck again.

Cheers Colette

Unlikely the census will give an actual county in Ireland if it is not mentioned on Ancestry

Birth certificates of children born in Scotland may give date and place of marriage

hello again, i looked on scotlands people and can`t find them anywhere in
1861 censuc, but they are on 1871 census. at king street. michael 34, bridget
36, mary 12, patrick 8, michael 6, bridget 3, all born in ireland so do not think
they were here in 1861, thomas is 8 months old and says born lanarkshire, but the only thomas i could find did not have these parents. sorry ran out of credits but i hope this helps.

Hello Colette,

Your Michael Deans, and Bridget, were married 20/July/1857. Bridgeton, Glasgow.

Their children were all born as,

Mary Deans, 07/Jun/1858, Hutchesontown, Glasgow,
Bridget Deans, 23/Jun/1860, Hutchinsontown, Glasgow,
Patrick Deans, 10/Sep/1862, Hutchinsontown, Glasgow,
Michael Deans, 07/April/1865, Hutchinsontown, Glasgow,
Bridget Deans, 30/Aug/1867, Hutchinsontown, Glasgow,
Thomas Deans, 17/July/1870, Clyde, Glasgow,
Ann Deans, 15/Nov/1872, Clyde, Glasgow.

Bridget's, maiden name you will find comes up with different variations of Callaghan, and you will also find the surname Deans, coming up minus the S. at the end

They are in Hutchinsontown, in 1861. census, under Dean.

Regards,
Jonn.

hi there, just seen john`s reply and was wondering why the 1871 census had them at the address you gave, but stated all but thomas were born in ireland, i have copied the census if you pm me i will send to you. found the first baby bridgets death on scotlands people, she was 17months old and died from whooping cough. mothers name on cert was kellachan, but as john said before varying spellings.
