Would anyone in UK know if Ronald PICKUP is going to be on Who Do You Think You Are ?
He may be my only hope of finding my elusive PICKUP family from Lancashire ?

With hopeful thanks

Always have enjoyed this programme and was excited to see a new series announced.  Wasn't overly impressed with the 'gushy' reaction of the SJP to her discoveries and I was fully expecting to have a Hollywoodesque-style ending of her and her mother falling sobbing into each other's arms artfully caught in silhouette through the window as she went to tell her all.  Oh well.  I'm not sure I fully understand either her announcement at the end of the programme that now knowing all this made her feel like an American as she was given clear proof that some of her ancestors came from England.   Some of the people done in earlier series were very interesting though so I will continue viewing in the hope that who comes next proves just as entertaining.

WDYTYA 9 Announced...

Bruce Forsyth, Rupert Everett, gardener Monty Don and singer Jason Donovan, Rupert Penry-Jones and wife Dervla Kirwan (single episode it seems), Alan Cumming and comedy actor Alexander Armstrong

supposed to be 9 episodes...not sure who the other two, being shown from end of July (probably as I thought after WDYTYA USA)

Roll on series 9.

Jason Donovan is the son of Australian actor Terence Donovan from England, who also appeared in Neighbours as Doug Willis; and his mother is Sue McIntosh.

Does anyone know about the ancestry of Terence Donovan and Sue McIntosh? Supposedly Jason Donovan is descended from the Menlove family from Petton in Shropshire, but I'd like to know how. Supposedly they're going to crop up in his episode, so I guess I'll have to wait and see since I can't find anything online.
