any info please on the Corbyn family of Coltishall/Wroxham.  I believe there were 2 daughters - Ruby and Freda, but I don't know who their parents were.  I've looked it up and come across 2 possible couples - John & Alice and George and Edith.  Both mothers maiden names were Wright to make it even more confusing!!!!

thanks for this!  I'm amazed!  My mum was evacuated to Mr and Mrs Corbyn during the war and obviously knew Ruby and Freda.  We kept in touch with them for ages after that, and we always used to go and sit on Coltishall Common for a picnic before we went to visit them.  I remember Ruby's husband was Bill and Freda's husband was Maurice.  By this time they lived in Spixworth.  Great memories

These would not be the same people. 

For living people you really need to be searching in a local newspaper etc. perhaps there is an Old Pals Section.  If there were any information I don't think it should be posted on an open forum.

If you were to obtain a marriage certificate for either of them you would be able to ascertain the father's name.
