Victorian look up please..
« on: Monday 03 May 10 23:37 BST (UK) »
I am searching for information on Elizabeth Mansfield, daughter of George Mansfield and Maria Hurst. Elizabeth "may" have moved to Victoria and possibly married there because her brother Charles resided there and she was in attendence when he was married. She was born in Bury St Edmunds in 1838 and I cannot find any information at all about her after she arrived in Australia with her family in 1857. There is nothing in the NSW births deaths and marriages relating to a marriage or death.

Hi Cando and Mandy. Firstly thank you both for your replies. Cando, I did see the notice that you mentioned and yep, it shows the father's surname as being Eastman, not Mansfield and that makes me wonder if that is the right Elizabeth or not and I have been pressuming it wasn't but after reading the reply from Mandy I am a little confused. I have a transcription of the death you mention and it is in contrast to the information Mandy has found.
How can I find out who posted the information Mandy has come up with so I can contact the sender. As I said, I am a little confused but I guess thats genealogy..
Once again thank you both for you help, its appreciated..
Graham...
