Scranton Pennsylvania - Jackson Family

Hi  I need help finding what happened to ( Ellen Jackson nee Regan) born around 1874 Ireland - married 1900 Scranton - last heard of on the 1930 census in Scranton - her husband Edward Jackson last heard of on the 1920 census. Children Harry, Mary, Frances, John, Leo, Edward and Ellen on the 1920 and the 1930 census.  Home address Ferdinand Street.
Have tried very hard to find them with no success.

Hello Eva,

Unfortunately there are no death records online for the period 1920 - 1930 when Ellen was widowed.  With some rare exceptions, the Social Security Death Index generally covers deaths from 1964 to the present, so it could be unlikely that Elizabeth was still alive then. The SSDI is available for free at www.rootsweb.com or www.familysearch.org 

N.B. anc.try tree has photographs of the couple and details on most children but perhaps this could be yours. Approx date of death for Edward 1925 and Ellen 1940. (No source records) City Directory entries for Ellen in 1936 and 1938

Address in 1936 - 1331 Cedar Avenue. Scranton. PA

One thing - Elizabeth was not her name It was Ellen.
