Are you connected to Rachel Jane Allen who married James Maxwell.
They had a daughter Mary Allen Maxwell born 1906.  Rachel's parents were James Allen and Mary Carmichael.
This Mary Allen Maxwell married John Lilley born 1903 Glenarm.

Hi Heather, to answer your question[Iwish i knew] any how i can give you these.. Elizabeth Allen[ped] born 1765- thornbury gloucestor. she married Walter Jenkins from Monmothshire] they had 10 children [i have names and dates here] This part is where some of the Allens leave to USA... but i need more info and am awaiting the reply here, at prtesent,  Also =Elizabeth Allen 19 dec 1762, glo; eng' father Henry family mother [elis] batch num; etc,, i have here. Henry Allen [ped] spouse Elizabeth  Langdon family, o2, march, 1746 thorn;glo;  hope this can help you later down the track, and hopefully we have links, Do you have Kennet names in your tree at all/ regards from Diane. Recently  I have found that Mary Day who was married to Robert Allen, well Mary looks like now that she was from a 'JOHN ' IST baron links,,] family.. as i saw on LDS anyhow i still think all the names  here are linked to my Mary Day. I have some ALLEN/DAY names n dates around  1828/1835/1893  . these are fromStaffordshire [ alsoJenkins- Bedsloe/JENKIN ruthen farm Tynycaia vicountess. George Thomas Day 1840  Hopefuly someone may need these dates regards from Diane.

No I do not have Kennet in my family line.  Allen name is not my direct line only by the marriage of Lilley to Allen so have only touched briefly on the Allen family.  My main concern is the Lilley/Lilly or Lillie and I am not even sure if we are originally Lilley.  May have been Linney  and then changed to Lilley in the 1870's.

Hello Heather, well thats a bit of a pity, hopefully you can get on board with the Lilly- lilley etc line [Google ]has great links and family trees on all names.. but i guess that you have been there? I am always searching around there.. best regards from  Di.

Tu, Heatherp, I will have to find out if the Allens that you sent me are mine.. as all i have is this so far, Elizabeth Allen ab;1765 from gloucestor [Thorbury] married Walter Jenkins from Monmouthshire. I also have more names her.. siblings etc, dates, she had a sister Mary and a brother John. I have left a few enquiries on mon; boards and some others too, I hope i see some links somewhere/ best of good wishes to you from Di.

Just wondering if you were thinking of Rootsweb and their mailing lists for surnames http://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/index/surname/a/ 
I don't think there are boards for individual surnames on here.
