Jan, Lucky you visiting in June :)

Will you tell us on this thread how you get on in the Cem and how difficult is it to find one's way around , as a stranger please?

Have a great visit,

I was in the cemetery a couple of months ago and it is a bit of a jungle. From Andy's photo it looks like your graves are at the lower end of the cemetery near the Wainhouse tower. The footpaths are easy to get to but once you leave the beaten track as Andy says, you need a machete.
If you go to
 www.bing.com/maps/
put College Terrace Halifax into the search box
drop down the birds eye view then navigate a few hundred yards to the West you will be able to see the cemetery.

Dave, Thanks for the link.

How close to the Crossley Almshouses is the cem?
My Hargreaves couple lived in the Almshouses. It will be interesting to see if the Almshouses put any form of marker or MI on the graves.

It should have been College Terrace Halifax I've modified it now. To get from there to the Alms houses.
In Road map view
East along Free School Lane 300 m
North Savile Park Road 300 m
North Arden Road 50 m and Crossley's Alms Houses are on the left

Hi All,
Jan if you PM me i will be glad to show you the grave, and try to hack back the brambles.
you will be limited for time and wasting hours searching is wasted research time,
Everyone else, I have superimposed some sticki notes onto an acrobat file of a 1907 O S map,
I cannot post it on here but if anyone wants it PM me and i will send it to you.
I am now aware how many people are interested in the graveyard and i will endeavour to sort some way of uploading a file to the net.
All for now,
Andy

Jan,
I have managed to get through the undergrowth and there is a stone to comemorate your grave,
The photo is not that good, i need to get further in to get a better picture.
Charlotte,
I had a go at getting to where i thought your grave was, sadly it was the wrong grave, i will check the records to ensure i am in the right place and if so will try to get to a grave further in the undregrowth,
Regards,
Andy
