Hi drewhowson (Andy)

Wonder if you know where the graves are with just a number (No Section given in the register)

I'm looking for Esther Partington buried Oct 1st 1903 in grave 1043 or could be 1093 (hard to decipher 4 or 9 in the register).

See image

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hi Sandra.

I'll try and find the grave? but with the state of the overgrowth in the grave yard and no maps as yet, but may take while to find.  I'm in contact with the graveyard  owner MR B Melia of Halifax an undertaker, who has the maps, who is also looking at them ! but the maps sound like as if they are in the same state as the Kingcross Wesleyan graveyard as in a right old mess, >: ( but Mr Melia (A very nice gentleman of the old school so to speak) is working on both the graveyard to tidy up (Hence graves  with logs on. { can't be help as nowhere else to put them as a temp measure]-) and maps to make sense of.

We will find the grave oneway or another. ;)

For now!

Dobby :)

Hello Dobby,
Yes, i can find the grave for you, it is in the second oldest section, badly overgrown but accessible.
there are no row numbers just graves listed from 1 to 1600.
will have a look tonight and try and see where it is located.
will let you know.
regards,
Andy

Hi Andy

Thank's! you know that graveyard better than me, I'm OK with the later A to D Sections by the gate but the rest seems like stars in space in the jungle of the Amason without a compass.  :-[

Dobby,
Are you sure it is grave 1043 and not 93?
makes no difference it is only one row apart.

Andy

I've posted the image from Ancestry.com/co.uk and it could be either, It looks like it could be 1049 on close examination but looking at other  9's on the page they seem different but on the other hand neither do the 4's- so I don't know.

If it has not got a gravestone on either grave 1043 or 1049 a general photo of the area about where its likely to be as an unmarked grave will do.

Thanks

Dobby  :)
