It seems that Hilda is not related to Minnie. Perhaps they were close family friends and who ever put the article in the paper thought they were related.

Harriet Maria HICKSON (later Minnie WILSON) doesn't appear to have been born in New Zealand (- quite probably though, born in Australia ?)

Hilda Burwood STANFORD may well be the daughter of a sister of Harriet M. HICKSON ?

Was your Harriet born 13 April 1863 in Australia, I have a daughter Frances Hawker Wilson b 28.5.1895 who married a Mr Macdonald?

Sorry I meant to add she was born in Victoria Australia, daughter of Robert Onslow Bellphron Hickson and his wife Emily V Watton.  Regards Sue

I have Harriet Maria Hickson born 13 4 1863 in Victoria Australia and dying 13 July 1925 in Remuera, Auckland married in 1894 to Charles Hawker Wilson - Hope this helps
