I researching a Lancaster bomber crashed 8 February 1945 after a midair collision over The Netherlands between the towns Best and Son which is in the S.E. part of Holland. F/Lt Robert Cecil Smalley was the Bombaimer of this crew. His aircraft a 97 Squadron Lancaster bomber ND961 took off from Coningsby for a raid on the Dortmund Ems Canal near Ladbergen. Around 0.50 Hrs this aircraft collided in midair with another Lancaster PB181 which killed 15 crewmembers among them also F/Lt R.C.Smalley. He was 30 years old when he died. On the 8th February 2020 we will erect a memorial near the place where these crewmembers died. I would like to get in touch eager with his family. Is there some one who can help me to track them down?? He was born 6 January 1915 Calgary,Alberta and son of Thomas Riley and Elizabeth Jane(Néé Cunliffe) Smalley of Vancouver. Brother of Wilfred,Victor James,Thomas and Elsie.

Regards and I looking forward to hear,
Adrian
