Hi Lamwell,

Lucky I am a mind reader ;D
Welcome to Rootschat :)

I am not related but there are a few Trees with Abraham on them. Have you contact with ANY other descendants or access to Ancestry?

Abraham Hockin WELLINGTON
Birth 09 September 1851, Truro, Cornwall
Parents, ABRAHAM Wellington and MAGDALA/MAGLALEN Hockin
Married Eliza PASCOE
( On FreeBMD Reg. Abraham Hockin Wellington, June 1879, Truro, 5c 205)
You can check Rootschats Surname Interests Table and also use the Search facility to look for Wellington  posts in Cornwall.

Is there anything specific you want re Abraham other than finding other descendants?
Is that as far back as you have gone with the Wellingtons?
If you need any help please ask.

Cheers,
Trish :)

Thanks Trish1120
I have gone back from abraham Hocking Wellington to 1563 which gives me a pretty good knowledge of my pedigree.
A Hocking is my grandfather, and i am trying to fill in the gaps of my father's family, hoping to link up with cousins ,second cousins etc to get some info. Unfortunately only 4th generation from A H W may possibly remain. Electrol rolls are difficult as i don't know who i am looking for-----------the records are in England and i am in Australia.
Thank you for your assistance
Lamwell

I am in Australia too.
You seem to have everything pretty much tied up.
Hopefully other descendants will find this and contact you through Rootschat.

Queries for any of the loose ends you may have could be posted here separately maybe.

Cheers,
Trish :)

Hi... Lamwell and Trish
Abraham Hockin Wellington died in Truro Cornwall on February 13th 1922, Eliza Pascoe died in 1940, they had 9 children that I am aware of?. I have most of them on the 1911 census, William the son married Lillian, Where I do not know, the "Wellingtonia Book" is full of mistakes, at the end of the research John Evelyn was very ill and there was a big push to finish this wonderful history.
I have been researching for over eleven years and have made many more connections that were missed over the lack of later census returns and church records.
At this point of time we have about 11,600 Wellington descendants on our database.

Please contact me direct on....   (*)

Best wishes .Jack     (Wales, UK)

Hi Lamwell and Jack
It's a long time since this thread started but I'm new to the site and have only just found it!
Abraham Hockin Wellington was my great grandfather.
Which of his children are your direct relations?
I have some information for you but need to send a PM or email- not sure how to do this as there doesn't seem to be any links on your profiles
any ideas
cheers
Ralph
