Jack Stanley BLAKEY ashes are at the same location at Springvale Cemetery as a May who died 1983 aged 90 years.  Perhaps this is a relative or did he marry for the second time?

hi cando

i have just spoken to nana she has confirmed the spelling as BEGBIE...She is a little disappointed that Elma Ruth who could possibly be a half sister only died 3yrs ago. This all seems to fit, looks like cyril died 18yrs before jean we are assuming jean then went on to meet Newman seen as she is buried as Newman we are also assuming she never remarried just took on the surnames of Begbie and Newman. It was rumored that she had 2 more children after leaving Jack and lived in Elsternwick/Glen Iris...

sorry cando the infomation i was refering to that i sent via email is as follows:

the date of death for Jack Cleave Blakey is 3/8/2008 (4th child of Jack and Jean Blakey) and Benjamin stanley blakey is 10/2/1993. Basil and Beryl are still alive. Please let me know if you would like any further information children etc..

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL THE INFORMATION SUPPLIED!!!  :)

kind regards

Kristy

Really not necessary but I thought if he had re-married then there was probably a divorce and then perhaps Jean Muriel had married Mr NEWMAN.

Thanks Cando  :)

I noticed the death of a Harry BLAKEY with father George....same as Jack Stanley.  I can't see a Herbert BLAKELY death in the indexes.  However I can see Meryl's marriage in 1942 and in 1954 she was living with her husband in Richmond.

Meryl's husband died in 2005

I would say that Elma Ruth was definitely married to Keith BEGBIE....you may be able to make contact with a descendant ie if the there are any.

I would be suprised if children to Jack Stanley BLAKEY are mentioned on the death certificate.  Hopefully the children she had after she left Jack, are detailed ie if it is the correct certificate.

Please look up for a listing for your mother's cousin on the whitepages.  She is of the age to be resident at a retirement village at the number and address I found.  If you have a problem please pm [personal message ] me by clicking on the green icon under my username...a new window will open where you can send me a message.

Cheers
