Could someone help please with 1891/1901 censuses for John Whyler married to Elizabeth Musson 18th April 1881 Gedling Nottingham,looking for their children.

1891 - some are indexed as Whyter and some as Whyler

The only additional child was Edward aged 12 which is odd if they only married in 1881

All other details, including address are the same as 1901

Thank you thats them in 1901 Leonard is in my family Tree. But from another persons tree ,there is a Edward Musson B 1879 I presume Elizabeths son before her marriage to John Whyler.

I have connections to Whylers in this area on two separate parts of my tree.

First, Florrie Whyler (on the 1901 census above) married my distant relative William Brittle (b.1901, Carlton). William Brittle was the grandson of one my ancestors, William Gabbitas.

Second, my grandmother had an Aunt Ada Whyler. She was born in 1880 in Lowdham, Nottingham, the daughter of William Whyler and Mary. Ada married William George Hall in Southwell. I haven't done extensive research into the family since I'm only related by marriage, but the censuses show that Ada's father William was born in Carlton about 1853. I thought there is bound to be some sort of connection.

Hi,

Leonard Whyler B 1887 D 1965. married my Grandmother Gladys Appleby,she lived on Cavendish Road Carlton so did Leonard,they married late in life,my Grandmothers 2nd marriage but I think Leonards 1st.He owned a Fish and Chip shop I think it was Carlton Hill.They married when we were young children so we called him Grandad,although my mother always called him Len.They lived in Len's house on Cavendish Road until my Grandmother died a year before Len,his sister moved into the house and looked after him and then I presume carried on living there but I can't remember her name.He had lots of relatives who as a child I went with him to vist,but I can't remember any names.
