Benjamin was my G Grandad and married Mary Ann French. My Grandma Harriet Agnes was their youngest child. Mary Ann remarried Alfred Holmes and had 5 more children. Grandma Harriet married Nathaniel Watling and she had 7 children, my mother Lelia Mary being one of them.       Shella.

Hi CaroleW I  do not know Rachel Clare but I am so interested to know what you say,how do I make contact? It would be so interesting to know of descendants of Benjamin and Mary Ann.     When I think back over the years Peterborough has changed from Northants to Cambridgeshire hence my confusion in the memory bank. Thanks ever so for your information.  Shella

Hiya
I'm a Crowson descendant!

My relationship to your tree is through William's brother James and I've put my connection in bold.

Their father is William Crowson 1787-1858 who was married 16th Oct 1809 to Elizabeth Pepper 1786-1874.
They had 8 children as far as I can work out:

William Crowson (1813-)   m. Ann Elizabeth Dawson (7children)
Mary Crowson (1815-)
John Crowson (1817-)
Thomas Crowson (1821-1903) m.Eleanor Allen (7children) then m. Eliza Guess
Ann Crowson (1824-)
James Crowson (1828-1896)  m. Mary Boardman (7children)
Jane Crowson (1830-) m. James Crowson (a cousin) 5children
Elizabeth Crowson (1831-) m. Joseph Wade

James married Mary in Jun 1852
Their children were:

Charlotte Crowson (1854-) m. George Langley
Alfred Crowson (1856-) m. Lucy Cook (7children) & Ellen Tarbuck (3children)
known as Albert in first 2 census records
Eli Crowson (1857-) m. Rebecca Barnes
Christopher Crowson (1861-) m. Sarah Widdows (6 children)
Emma Crowson (1864-) m.
Elizabeth Crowson (1867-)
Alice Anna Crowson (1871-) m. Israel George in 1911census Bingham (2 children)

Alfred and Lucy 7 children were:

George Edward Crowson (1876-1961) m. Eliza Lightfoot (2 children)
Lizzie Crowson (1876-)
James Crowson (1877-) m. Florence Bellamy
Frederick Crowson (1883-)
Charles Crowson (1887-)   m. Hilda Langford and/or Mary Ann Thompson
Alice Anne Crowson (1889-)

Sheila: I believe you and my wife are 4th cousins. Were you born Sheila Briggs in Bedford?

Benjamin's father William (1813) had a brother Thomas. He is my wife's Gt Gt Grandfather.

Would love to hear from you.

I took the marriage details of William and Ann's marriage at Paston
which I will list later.

Also the daughter Mary Ann at Peterborough.

And the one for William (Bachelor) to Elizabeth Lemmons
also at Peterborough.
