Trying to trace a Catherine Leary who was convicted of man robbery at the surrey qtr sessions on the 21/10/1839
Birth year was around 1802-1812 depending on what record you read.It stated on the convit with particulars record she was a widow with 3 children 2 boys and a girl but I haven't been able to find their names at this time. She married a Daniel walton when still bonded at Port Macquarie N.S.W. Australia and went on to have many more children she lived to a ripe old age of 85 and is buried at Parramatta N.S.W. It stated she was born at cork county cork Ireland but I can't find any info as to when she went to england or any death record for her husband. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you'll have too much luck finding her unless you have much more specific information. You will be relying on church records & at present only the records for north & east Cork are available online on www.irishroots.ie. A search of these records for Catherine Leary born between 1802 & 1812 show 9 available records in this area alone.
There are no available records for travel between Ireland & England in the 1800s.
If she was a widow when sent to Australia was Leary her married name? If so you need to find marriage record to get her own name in order to trace birth. Did she marry in Ireland or England?
