Yes, I'd had a sudden block - can find my way around now!

Thanks for your reply: is there any chance of seeing the will of Samuel Walker you have a copy of?

I will email the will directly to you if you send a personal message with your email address.
However, it's 1am here so my response will have to wait till later today Oz time...say about 2pm Greenwich

Hi,
I too have the Walkers (maltsters)from Hunslet, Leeds, as my ancestors.

I have got as far back as Abraham Walker who married Sarah Greenwood in 1765.

I have Jeremiah as their son but have not found any more siblings. I didn't know he had a brother Samuel as AdRem(Charles) has stated, so any info will be appreciated.

Regards
Lainy

Hi Lainy
I have not established a link between "my" Samuel ,and Adrem's and your Jeremiah. Adrem did indeed indicate a connection so I will have to ask Charles {adrem}  if he has any additional information. My tree is on Ancestry as " A Walker and Gilbert Tree" if you are a member.
Regards
Bruce

I was barking up a wrong tree at a red herring!

My line goes Charles Wright (me) b. 1960; Elspeth Ferguson (b. 1935); Margaret Cooper Wilson (1897-1961); Gertrude Agnes Walker (1870-1970!); Wiliam Walker (1833-?); Samuel Walker (1796-1866); Samuel Walker (1722-1820); son of Samuel Walker and brother of Thomas.

No Jeremiah, I'm afraid in my case.  I was glad that - totally unconnectedly - I gave my third child the name Samuel.
