If it is any help Darren, transportation finished about 1846, this was followed by a period of 'assissted passages' where it was possible to get to Australia from England Scotland and Ireland for as little as 6 pounds. There are some listings for assisted arrivals for NSW and Victoria. I don't know about Queensland but could be worth checking.

Thanks John - Do Birth certs from Ireland show the parents info etc like British ones do?

1875 was long before the division of Ireland, so I guess the records should be similar to the mainland?
