I don't normally order death certs ( thought it was a bit morbid )  but i've ordered 4 this time so it'll be interesting.

I do as they fill up my family tree. I like exact dates, not rough dates given from the quarter they were registered in.

That's long, have you tried chasing it up, it may have got lost in the post. They can normally tell you if it was sent out or is still in the system on the phone.

Last year I ordered 3 certs and the one I was waiting for the most, typical, got lost in the post so I had to phone them and they sent me a copy straight away by first class mail. It arrived 2 days later.

Just rung now. The very nice lady at GRO explained that some certs.ordered around the middle of March  did not get passed on for processing. A technical hitch. The only way that they know which ones,   are when people ring up with a query. So hopefully it is on its way.
