I suggest though that it has most probably been despatched and is somewhere between Southport and you in the overseas mail system

My 'standard service' marriage certificate ordered on 21 March arrived today.  According to the details with it, it was ready for despatch on 26 March as promised.   Whether the delay was with their workload or with 2nd class mail I've no idea, but at least I know not to look for the ones I ordered pre-cut off yesterday for a couple of weeks at least.

Good thinking Dawn!    1st April - no joke.

So it was 4 working days late leaving Southport which is what is currently being experienced by others.

And has been in the postal system over the Easter Holiday not going anywhere, which is why it's taken another 2 working days to get to you.

It might be a good idea to keep a close eye on debit/credit card statements. I pay by debit card & notice the payments are not showing up until three days after my order, so for anyone ordering close to the deadline it's possible you  may be charged the higher fee. We all know what computerised systems can be like

The certs are still in the post. But I am not surprised due to the high increase in ordering. I ordered them 2 weeks ago today.
