I ordered some on 1 April and some more on 3 April. Since those from 30 March have arrived in a trickle between last Fri and today, I'm not going to get fraught unless the rest fail to turn up by the end of the week.

I just received 7 certs that I ordered on MARCH 20th!  Dispatch date was to have been March 26th.  I received one dated March 28th a couple of weeks ago, and these 7 are dated March 30th (but I wonder how correct that is).

Anyway, those of you worrying about orders placed at the end of March will need to be more patient I think.

Now to sort through and see what I have got...

The website has been saying that customers may wish to be aware that standard orders are subject to a delay of between 5 - 10 working days, for a while now. So that's already a delay of up to 10 days on the despatch date they have quoted and if you ordered with Easter in the middle-add a further 4 days 8)

I'm sure they will just be plodding their way through the massive amount of extra orders as best as they can ;)

UK residents waiting for post (such as certificates) should remember that much of the UK post goes by air now instead of by train or lorry.
Unless the Post Office is making alternative arrangements (which is very doubtful, though they do claim they are)  ;) there could be delays caused by the Iceland volcano.
Cheers

Anyone like to guess how much money has been taken over the last few weeks for orders not yet fulfilled ?

OK, I only ordered 3, but that £21 was charged to account at point of order.  1st April in my case ::)

For those of you who have order large amounts  -   OUCH!             :o

Follow up to last..................

As the 2 certs  ordered on-line 5 April from Lancashire can't be provided by them, even though the system accepted the references ok, they have had to be re-ordered at the new cost of £9.25.    If there had been an automatic reject I could have ordered from GRO on same day.

As it is, I was charged at point of order and my £14.00 is still out there somewhere, might be another week before I get it back I am told.
