Janet Barr/Matthew McLean

I am try to find the parents of Janet Barr who married Matthew Mclean on 8/07/1864 at Cumbusnethan. They lived  in Blackburn Livingston and Cumbusnesthan.

they had  5 childrens:

George 1866.
Jessie 1868.
Rebecca 1869.
Mathew 1874.
Robert 1879.

Anyone know about this family ?

Janet Barr's parents were William Barr and Margaret Aitken

Hi Patrick,

I can't find anything on George. I've checked out the OPR deaths on SP and none fit, there's nothing mentioned in the MI's for him in West Lothian.

I have Robert and Matthew's marriage certs. and Martha's date of marriage in 1849.

I also found Rebecca's death in the High Church Burial index, 28th March 1840 in Weaver St, Glasgow.
I wondered if the McLeans were in Glasgow before moving to Livingston.  My gggrandparents James McLean and Martha Hughes were living in Weaver St in 1841 census, they married in 1840.
From later census and PR reports James claims to have been born in Belfast.  On his death cert. and PR reports he's given his mother's maiden name as GAY.

Thanks  helping me , i live in Brasil and  have difficulty properly used internet , but next week  i will again be able do research.
I'll try to find a contact in Belfast, and ask a genealogist of Edinburgh.

Matthew was born 1838 in Ireland, Rebecca died on March 1840 in Glasgow,family is in Livingston and Weaver St 1841, and has not trace of George and Rebeckie  1851( census)!!!!!it will be very difficult.
Can you tell me if James McLean and Martha Hughes married in Scoltand or Ireland

I Have the genealogy of Robert McLean. If you want , i can give you the informations. The family lived in Denny, then in Canada , England and France. Today there is Family in Canada , England and France.
