Lookup National Probate Calendar Simmonds

I was wondering if someone might be able to assist me in looking up, Philip Alfred Simmonds in the National Probate Calendar. Philip Alfred owned over fifty houses and business combined in Littlehampton England. I would love to know who was the recipient of all his wealth.

As you know his date of death you can write direct to the probate office in York and ask for a copy of his will.  It costs £5.  The index is available at most archive offices or large libraries but it only gives very brief details.

You need to know the year probate was granted which may or may not be the same as the year of death. Without the benefit of a lookup to give you the year of the grant you should ask York for a search beginning with the year of death. This will cost you more than £5 for a search longer than 4 years.
