« on: Sunday 18 April 10 22:37 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

Is there some kind person out there that can decipher an address on this 1851 Census.
It is the address of my Gt Gt Grandfather a Thomas Rees and it looks something like 29 Quakers Park
but unable to make it out. Would appreciate any help.

Many thanks Retpara.

Hi,

Agree with CaroleW.

He is not living at No.29 though.  The 29 was the schedule number for that household.

Regards,
Mo

It's in the Neath registration district, but not the town of Neath. Address at the top is hamlet of Coedfrank

Coedffranc is on the outskirts of Neath/Skewen.  There was an iron works in that area of Neath owned by a Joseph Tregelles Price who was a Quaker. It may be that Quakers Bank was something to do with him?  In Neath town centre there is still a Quakers meeting house and burial ground. Hope this is of some help/interest :)

Close by there were people with the occupation Copperman and dwelling places called Redjacket so this is somehow relevant http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/202660
