Samuel Greer McCullough
« on: Sunday 18 April 10 16:58 BST (UK) »
I need a little help:

Samuel Greer McCullough married Elizabeth Caldwell on the 23rd June 1908 Trinity Church of Ireland Belfast

His father was listed as David McCullough Insurance. Business, Samuel's address was 23, Argyle Street, Full age, Labourer

Elizabeths father was listed as James Caldwell, Labourer. Elizabeth's address was 20, Ormeau Avenue, she was over 21 as well.

Samuel and Elizabeth had 4 boys the first one was called David after his grandfather, their last child was born January 1920 Ellen Steen McCullough. Elizabeth died within a year or two of her birth.

The problem is that I cannot find Samuel or Elizabeth's birth record, I also cannot find them in the 1911 census.

I do not know of any Scottish connection but I am sure that it is a possibility.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Brendan

According to a submitted I.G.I. record Samuel Gregg McCullough died 25 May 1954 Lurgan and was born c1876. Also more details in Pedigree Resource File which is also submitted information.

If that is correct then here's another bit of submitted info from IGI:
Samuel McCullough, born 14 June 1876 Bessbrook, Co. Armagh, parents David McCullough and Jane Greer.

There is more submitted information on IGI and PRF. Have done a few searches in 1911 census but still can't find the family yet.

Hi,
Emerald Ancestors gives the same information for Samuel McCullough's birth. On his marriage it lists the bride as Elizabeth McCullough Caldwell.

Several children of David McCullough and Jaen Greer listed on LDS site- again, submitted, but gives a good basis for researching the family.

Am a bit puzzled by this, though-

Think Elizabeth McCullough died about 1922ish from TB. Will send rest by PM as may involve living people.
