« on: Sunday 18 April 10 05:32 BST (UK) »
I am looking for information on a Thomas Howes born in 1774 in Tewkesbury, Gloucester.  He married Ann Burroughs on February 17, 1795 in Tewkesbury, Gloucester.  Together they had 5 children:  Thomas (1800-?), William (1802-1869), Ann (1804-?), Elizabeth (1807-?) and Thomas (1811-?).  Any information on Thomas, his parents and/or his children would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Jennifer

Thomas Howes Head 60 Tailor
Ann Hodges sister widow 67
Barbara Hodges niece 37 unmarried Laundress
Elizabeth niece 7 scholar
John Hodges nephew 4
All born Tewkesbury.

Now Elizabeth and John cannot be Ann's children so they should be great nephew and niece. So are children of Barbara or one of her sisters.

Deaths

William Ga_ on Hodges tewkesbury March 1/4 1842 vol11 page 391

Ann Hodges June 1/4 1873 Tewkesbury age 70 vol 69 page 277

Thomas HOWSE June 1/4 1885 Tewkesbury age 74 vol 6a page 282

Thomas Howes born 1800 quite possibly dies before 1811 when Thomas and Ann christened their third son Thomas.

It seems you know about William so the only one to follow through is Elizabeth b 1807?

Hi
I have been trawling the IGI and the public member tree list on ancestry. No joy in finding your Howes born, christened or married in Tewkesbury other than the member submitted entries. He is precise with his dates but there is no evidence to support his submissions. It would be good to know from where he got his information.
I'll keep trawling. :)
