following on from the census return gortonboy found, there seems to be  a good match for the marriage from the civil index :

 Name: Frederick Wilkinson
 Registration district: Lurgan
 Record type: Marriage
Quarter and year: Oct - Dec 1908
 Volume: 1 / Page: 930

 Name: Ruth Matthews
 [same index details as Fredrick]

see the topic 2 Minute Introduction to Irish Records for details on searching the index, ordering certs etc.

A marriage cert would give your details on the Bride & Grooms fathers etc.

I have searched the census and I cannot find any trace of Frederick Wilkinson in it, I know that he and ruth had 5 kids, she was living with her mother and grand mother but there is no mention of my great great grandfather there. would anyone know where I can search the next census that would have been done in this area? I would be very greatful for any help

The marriage cert will give you the father's names and occupations, which you could then follow up by searching for them on the 1911 Irish Census.

The other census that will be available soon is the one for 1901. No later census returns are available. To search for other children born later than 1911 you could check for other Wilkinson births in the same area on the civil index

Do you know what Frederick's occupation was ? (it might help find him on the census)

Some Lurgan men are missing in the 1901 Census because they were serving in the Boer War Do you still need his fathers name?
Areas Lurgan and neighbouring townlands in the Parishes of Shankill and Seagoe, Toomebridge County Antrim, Queens County New York, Hartford Connecticut, Michigan USA. Names Doyle McElroy Pollock  Harte Neill Hall Mc Cully Wright Boyle Murray Mc Conaghy Mc Cann Brown Patterson Carson Hines Lauder Waters Watson Hendron Tweedy Warnock
