I wasn't sure whether I could respond to the different threads. Sorry! I really am grateful for all of your help. So it seems that Graham Hunter Pierce is quite a difficult man to research. Was he married to Mercy Burnett Pierce or Frances? Which one? And where does Emily fit in? How can this puzzle be sorted out? But thankyou everyone for your help and support. Really appreciated!

He was married to both - possibly third if a marriage can be found to Emily Violet WINN.

I have Graham Hunter PIERCE born 27 July 1846 Camberwell London, travelled to New Zealand 1867 and married Mercy Peach 1871. They had 3 children Emily Margaret 1871, Graham Hunter 1874 and Maria Alice 1876 all born in New Zealand. Mercy died 1882 in New Zealand. I don't know what happened to Graham and family after that. Any help would be appreciated

If so, you will see there is a lot of information about the chap you are seeking.
The thread reveals there were two men of the name, one connected to you and one not.

What in particular were you wanting to find?
