Hi Jackie,
No luck I'm afraid.
I searched the film of Parish Registers of Births Marriages and Burials in Heptonstall and Cross Stone, unfortunately the births pages for the early 1760's were not there - it said something about binding being too tight on the book. Other pages on the film were so faded or illegible that I did not find any Illingworths or Booths. The marriage section was easier to read but again no matches for the late 1700's and early 1800's. I looked for Phineas's children too. I also looked on the Parish Registers of Christ Church and St Mary's in Todmorden which were much easier to read - obviously preserved better - but again no luck.
I was so disappointed not to have found anything at all.
Anyway I've just been on Rootsweb and found this link which is very interesting, I'm not sure if you have tried it already but there is someone on there who has done some transcribing and is willing to share his data. Not sure if he will have any more I assume his data will have come from film too.
Just read this bit;
It should be noted that St. Paul's at Cross Stone was not licensed for marriages until July 1837, although 63 marriages were recorded immediately prior to 1754. People from Langfield and Stansfield would be expected to marry at Heptonstall
so the marriage was likely to have been Heptonstall. I don't know about non conformist marriages - I haven't been doing this family history long enough to know about those records!

Best of luck with the search,
Lyn
