Where's Richard (Philpot)?

Posted a similar thing on Philpot(t) elsewhere but I am not sure if we are still in Shropshire.
I have an ancestor Benjamin Philpot b. 27 May 1792 in Pontesbury to Richard and Catherine and that is about as far as I can get.
I can find no further info on Richard or Catherine. I emailed Shropshire reg office who could find no record for Pontesbury but said it would be too involved to search all the Shropshire parishes with a 10 min freebie. I can not find him or her on IGI (as a marriage) and I haven't found a Richard that lived in Pontesbury or a Catherine. Can't find them on freeREG or on An-----y. All pointers welcome.

I'm  afraid I don't have any info on your Richard. I have a later Philpot, Charles born between 1819and 1825 presumably in Shropshire. He was a grocer in Shrewsbury in 1850s/60s and a tobbaconist in Worcester in 1870s. His wife (Charlotte Powell) was recorded as a widow in 1891. Interestingly  there appears to have been another Charles Philpot, grocer, who died in Pontesford in 1895 just to confuse matters. Pontesford is near Pontesbury. Perhaps your Richard is from there?

Were Christabella and Catherine one and the same?
